Delivery

As we live on the Isle of Skye off the west coast of Scotland we do not have too many delivery options to choose from! We use Royal Mail for standard parcels, and in the case of very large parcels we use a courier agent. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the ceramic tile we cannot obtain, and therefore offer, insurance on courier deliveries.

Our Royal Mail deliveries are extremely fast and reliable. We package all tiles using strong boxes recycled from local retailers, lots of bubblewrap, newspaper and foam sheets to ensure safe delivery to you. In the very unlikely event of a breakage during delivery we offer a no quibble replacement policy. All we ask is for a photo of the damaged tile to be emailed or text to us before we dispatch the replacement.

Postal Charges

Our postage and packing charges are calculated strictly by weight. The weight of each tile ordered is totalled and charged against the 1st class postage rate applicable. Where the tiles ordered are of the larger sizes we may use the Standard Parcel service due to the size of the boxes we have to use. We add a very small amount for the handling and packing, but we do not aim to make a profit from our p&p charges so you will find them very reasonable.

The total p&p amount is displayed once your address details have been entered in the checkout process and is based on weight and country of destination. As a rough guide a 4"x4" tile to a UK address will cost approximately £1.95, and an 11"x14" tile weighing just over 2kg will cost £8.75

Domestic Orders

We normally dispatch orders within 48 hours of receipt. We use Royal Mail 1st class post or Standard Parcel service for all our UK orders, depending on the size of the packed box. We find that the service from the Isle of Skye is excellent and our 1st Class parcels normally arrive within 24 - 48 hours of dispatch, the parcel post takes 4-5 days.

Overseas Orders

Europe - Generally speaking we can post all sizes to anywhere in the European Union using Royal Mail Airmail service or ParcelForce for parcels over 2kg. The postage cost rises alarmingly above 2kg so if you intend to purchase multiple tiles it may prove cheaper to buy them individually, keeping the weight below 2kg. Use the checkout page to try different combinations, it may well save you a lot of money!

Worldwide - Outside of the EU we can only post tiles up to 8x12 in size (sizes in Imperial inches measurement). This includes 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 and 8x12. All of our larger tiles weigh over 2kg once packed and there is no alternative for parcels of this size other than a very expensive courier service. As an example, a 11x14 tile would cost £36 to send to the U.S.A. If you are interested in any of our larger tiles and you live outside of the EU please contact us for delivery options and costs.
